Prior to starting library school, I wanted to ensure that I found the most affordable option that still met my education goals. I went through the ALA website and visited the website for every university listed as ALA Accredited. I researched every single program to determine the number of credit hours and estimate the cost of the entire degree for each one. I then expanded to estimate the tuition for a variety of in-state and out of state circumstances, so that the information could be shared with other potential LIS students.
